Doug Ashmore | President
Over the past thirty years, Doug has navigated Ashmore Builders through everything from custom home building, development, and commercial construction to residential additions, remodels, and custom cabinetry. He has been a licensed builder since 1987, and served as President of Greenville Home Builder’s Association from 1995-96. He also built Southern Living’s Home of the Year in 1996. Doug’s vast repertoire of experience, decades of small business ownership, and relational nature make him our lead business developer- meeting with new clients, estimating, creating budgets, and finalizing sales.
Sam Ashmore | Vice President
As Doug and Cathy’s middle child, Sam grew up alongside Ashmore Builders visiting job sites and learning carpentry from his dad. Today, he is a licensed builder and oversees all of the company’s projects from concept to completion. Sam’s background in branding, combined with a natural drive and attention to detail, ensure that every project is picture-perfect, and meets customers’ deadlines and expectations.
Cathy Ashmore | Business Manager
Our queen of all things behind the scenes! Cathy has been handling Ashmore Builders’ accounting and business administration since day one. Her organization, effective communication, and positive attitude have helped the company grow and prosper throughout the years.
Jacob Johnson | Pre-Production & Design Manager
As our company’s tech maestro, Jacob handles the digital renderings of all of our additions and renovations. His relational nature combined with an eye for detail results in beautiful, functional designs that fit our clients’ tastes and lifestyles. When he’s not behind the computer, he is managing projects and meeting with new clients. As a musician and former teacher, Jacob brings creativity, structure, and a whole lot of patience to our team.
Seth Curry | Assistant Design Manager
Seth is a New Mexico native who grew up around construction with his dad in the building industry. Seth’s knack for computers started at a young age when he was given architectural design software to play around with. Seth pulls from work experience in campus ministry and marketing to provide our clients with a personable experience and top-quality digital renderings.
Julian Mills | Project Manager
Julian’s career in residential construction began as a cabinet builder. He holds a degree in Construction Engineering Technology in addition to multiple years of project management experience. His relational personality, combined with a wide range of experience in the construction industry makes him a great asset to our team!
Ben Jakobowski | Project Manager
Ben relocated from North Carolina where he worked as an operating officer for a residential construction company in Black Mountain. He is CAD certified and has experience in multiple facets of the residential remodeling process- from planning and budgeting to project and team coordination.
Cole Sevcik | Shop Manager
A Virginia native, Cole moved to South Carolina with his family after high school. As our shop manager, he assembles cabinets and tracks inventory. Outside the cabinet shop, he helps with installs and assists lead carpenters on jobsites. Cole’s an old soul with a great work ethic, and is always willing to learn a new skill or lend a hand.
Stephen Kramer | Project Lead
A jack of all trades and a kid at heart, Stephen brings his enthusiasm, and go-getter attitude to every project. Stephen worked as a professional arborist for years before making the transition to construction. Our team wouldn’t be the same without his work ethic, diverse experience, or personable nature!
Jody Stevens | Project Lead
Jody is a licensed and experienced builder from Camden, SC. He owned and operated his own residential construction company for over 20 years before he and his wife relocated to Greenville to be closer to family. Jody brings decades of first-hand residential construction knowledge and experience to our team.
Aaron Hodges | Project Lead
Aaron began in the trades assisting a general contractor on smaller jobs and has since worked his way up in the residential construction industry. His hands-on approach and skilled craftsmanship make him an asset to our team. From carpentry to millwork and trim work to cabinet installation- Aaron’s artistry is valuable to every phase of the renovation process.
Nick Swiger | Project Assistant
Nick is our go-to-guy for getting projects wrapped up. His calm and steady demeanor is always appreciated on the jobsite as well as the cabinetry shop. No detail is too small, and he does an excellent job at making sure every renovation is pristine and picture-perfect for our clients!
Rob Huband | Project Expeditor
Rob is our go-to guy when it comes to demolition and installations. He helps keep our projects running smoothly, while assisting our project leads and shop manager with their day-to-day.
Duchess Edwards | Business Assistant
Our team worked with Duchess for years before she officially joined Ashmore Builders. She helped numerous clients select fixtures and chandeliers for their renovations as a design consultant at a local lighting center. Then, in 2021 she became a client herself when our team renovated her kitchen. Her personable, detail-oriented nature, eye for design, and firsthand experience in the residential remodeling industry makes her a great fit for our small, yet dynamic team!
Anna Ashmore | Selections Coordinator
As our team’s social butterfly and organization maven, Anna oversees the selection process of each project. She works between the clients, project managers, and designers to ensure that every item- from tile to light fixtures and everything in between- is ordered and received on time. Not only does she help keep simultaneous projects and managers on schedule, but also offers our clients a great, personalized experience throughout their selection process.

Yes, there’s two. And yes, sometimes it’s confusing! Doug and Cathy’s youngest creates social media content, drafts blog posts, executes email campaigns, and manages the company website. She makes sure that all content across multiple channels is up-to-date and consistent with our company’s high standards and values.
